Exercise and Brain Function - Brain Imaging

Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Exercise and Brain Function Study with The University of Energy Balance Lab and Hoglund Brain Imaging Center.

We are looking for adults (ages 18-50) who are currently not participating in a regular exercise program and are interested in starting a physical activity program.

This study is a 9 month exercise program to improve our understanding of how exercise affects brain function. You will exercise 5 days each week with 2-3 days supervised in our facility.

Your supervised exercise will be done in our private Exercise Room. The room is equipped with state of the art equipment and a personal trainer to help guide you through the exercise.

The EBL is located on the University of Kansas Campus in the Robinson Center next to the tennis courts. Our exercise facility is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 6am - 10am and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm - 8pm.

You do not have to be a KU student to participate.

You will be compensated for your participation.

Please complete the screening questionnaire at https://research.ebl.ku.edu/ieq_exmri_intro.aspx (or copy and paste the address into your web browser).

If you qualify for the study you will be contacted by research staff.
