The Energy Balance Laboratory at the University of Kansas invites qualified candidates to submit applications for temporary research positions as the need arises in the following field: Research Assistant. Applications will be accepted throughout the year. The successful applicant should have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins.
Assist with clinical and research projects investigating energy intake and exercise. Counseling on weight loss, weight gain and general nutrition. Maintenance of data files. Entry and analysis of data. Scheduling subjects for research studies. Supervise student research assistants. Assist in grant writing and manuscript preparation as directed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in one of the following areas: exercise science, nutrition, dietetics, health, psychology, or related allied field. Experience with analysis of nutritional information, weight management, physical activity, and exercise testing. Experience with computer word processing and spreadsheets.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year experience in a related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently.
Salary:
$20,000 to $45,000 full time salary range; commensurate with the qualifications of the candidate. Part time and/or Full time, temporary position(s). Non-Exempt
Start Date:
Will vary as needs arise.
